New Membership Database: Membermojo
FAQs
What’s happening?
The Committee has decided to use a new online membership database called Membermojo. This is a proven system which is used enthusiastically by several Clubs we have spoken to.
Why are we using it?
This system is better protected than our previous system and runs on secure industry standard servers. Email lists such as that used for eNews will be easier to create and will be more reliable and secure that they are currently.
What are the benefits?
Individual members will be able to sign in and view/or update their own details and will be able to see the membership directory. This will help to make up to date membership information more easily available for all members. This will replace the list currently sent out to members once a year.
How do I renew my membership?
It will be necessary to sign in to renew your membership. You will have to renew even if you pay by Standing Order.
How do I sign in to renew?
The link on the ESTC site takes you to the Membermojo form. You will be asked to sign in first. This will not require a password, only the email address that we currently hold on our database for you. You will then be sent an email with a link that you must use within two hours. If you try to use a different email address to log in it will not work.
What happens when I sign in?
Once signed in, as well as renewing your membership, you will also be able to update your details such as telephone numbers, email and postal addresses and emergency contacts as necessary. You can also see the Club Membership directory which is a list of the members of the club along with their basic contact details. This replaces the list currently sent out once a year.
How do I pay?
Membermojo will ask you how you intend to pay your membership fee. It does not however actually handle payment. If you pay by standing order (preferred) that’s it. If not, you need to make a bank transfer. Further information is available in Membership Renewal section of the ESTC website.
