Shiel Bridge weekend Nov 1-5
Picture
AUTUMN MEET Thu 1 - Mon 5 Nov Woodlands Cottage, Shiel Bridge. Space for 10 people. Comfortable and well-equipped cottage in excellent location for autumn hillwalking with 22 Munros in easy reach (or at least, as easy as any Munro ever is) and Rod reports that there are feral goats on the doorstep to add amusement. Booking now open: £65 per person for Thursday night to Monday morning – 4 nights (sorry, no discount for just the Fri & Sat nights). Contact Rod

Woodlands enjoys the best of both worlds being in a remote location yet having a shop, internet cafe and take-away plus a bar and restaurant all within walking distance. The house sleeps 10/12 (5 bedrooms [+ bed settee]), and has 4 bath and/or shower rooms. In one of the outbuildings there is a pool table and dart board. More information about the house plus photos of the interior are further down this page.

Woodlands is a fantastic base for walkers and climbers. Apart from the multitude of Munros in Glenshiel itself, (the Five Sisters and Saddle being accessed directly from the house!), there's a whole host of other walks to do including coastal, valley and woodland. Other mountain ranges reachable from Woodlands are The Cuillin hills, Ben Nevis range, Glen Affric, Glenelg and Knoydart. In addition Glencoe and Torridon are about two hours away.
