In previous years we have organised trips to Italy, Norway, Spain, France, Switzerland, Canada and the USA, covering everything from alpine touring to on-piste telemarking to hut-to-hut tours.

We have now confirmed the plans for this walking trip based in Sentein in the Ariege. The base will be in David’s daughter’s house and we will make two trips to the refuges in the Mont Vallier National Park and stay over night and attend the Transhumance party in the village to celebrate the bringing down of the animals from the high pasturages.
Travel will be via Ryanair Edinburgh Bordeaux Leaving 18.15 on Friday and getting back to Edinburgh at 23.25 on Sunday.
Costs.
Travel £175 approx including transfer to Pyrennes from Bordeaux

This year we are returning to a chalet in one of the major French mega areas. The idea is to allow people to practise and enhance the skills they have been taught in recent years in an environment that offers the best chance of reasonably challenging on and off piste, and lift borne telemarking. Ski mountaineers welcome.
Tuition: In resort lessons can be arranged for intermediates and we can arrange to tailor these to the needs of the party.
Flights : The flights by Jet2.com are currently the preferred option with a short transfer to Praranger.
Accomodation: Chalet St Martin de Belleville. This has space for 14/16 but the intention is to hold the numbers to 14.
